Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

We use so-called “session cookies“ on our websites, which are small text files that are stored on the user‘s computer and are automatically deleted (depending on the setting of your browser program) when you end your visit to our website and close your browser. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies. As a rule, your browser is set so that it automatically accepts cookies. Subsequently, the data will be deleted at the service provider.

DPN/TPN, newsletter, right of withdrawal

You can subscribe to our newsletter as part of our online offer. We use the so-called double opt-in procedure, after which we will only send you a newsletter by e-mail if you have explicitly confirmed the activation of the newsletter service by clicking on a link in a notification. If you later decide against receiving newsletters, you can cancel your subscription at any time by revoking your consent. E-mail newsletters can be cancelled via the link printed in the newsletter and on the website. Alternatively, please contact us using the information in the Contact section.

Foyer

For the use of the extended communication options (text/video chat) within the foyer, we also work with an external service provider for identification/authentication. This has the highest possible and DSGVO-compliant guidelines and is subject to German legislation. Furthermore, we do not pass on your data in any form.
The legal basis for the processing of the data is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO if the user has given his consent.

Passing on data

The German Prevention Congress will only pass on your personal data to third parties (recipients) if he is entitled to do so under data protection legislation. In the following we inform you about the constellations in which this may be the case. The German Prevention Congress may pass on your personal data to third parties if

  • you have given us your consent to do so for one or more specific purposes (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO);
  • the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO);
  • processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the German Prevention Congress is subject (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. c DSGVO);
  • the processing is necessary to protect the legitimate interests of the German Prevention Congress or a third party, unless your interests predominate (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO).

Furthermore, the German Prevention Congress works with service providers, so-called order processors, to whom it transfers your personal data and who process your data on its behalf and according to the instructions of the German Prevention Congress within the scope of Art. 28 DSGVO. These service providers have been carefully selected and commissioned by the German Prevention Congress, are bound by its instructions and are regularly monitored. All of the service providers named use servers located in Germany and are subject to the laws applicable in Germany.

Use of Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps API, a map service. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

By using Google Maps, information about your use of this website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google may transfer the information obtained through Maps to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Technically, it is possible that Google could identify at least individual users based on the data received. It is possible that personal data and personality profiles of users of the Google website could be processed for other purposes over which we have and cannot influence. You can disable the Google Maps service to prevent data transfer to Google by disabling JavaScript in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use the map display on our pages. Additional information can be found here: Google Privacy Policy and Additional Terms of Use.

Use of YouTube

For the integration of videos we use the provider YouTube LLC with headquarters in 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA ("YouTube"), which belongs to Google Inc.

"YouTube" also uses cookies to collect information about the viewers of the videos made available online. "YouTube" uses these cookies in particular to collect video statistics, to prevent fraud and to improve user-friendliness. You can also refuse the acceptance of cookies via your browser settings ("do not accept cookies"). Please note that in this case you may not be able to watch the "YouTube" videos included on our website any more or only to a limited extent.

In addition, some of our websites use the YouTube player from "YouTube". As soon as you visit a website on our website that contains such a player, a connection to the "YouTube" servers is established and the film is then displayed. This transfers to the "YouTube" server which of our Internet pages you have visited and a link to your "YouTube" account may be created if you have one and are logged in during your visit to our Web pages.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you would allow YouTube to associate your surfing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this assignment by logging out of your account beforehand. In this case you may not be able to use some functions of our online offer anymore or only to a limited extent.

For further information please refer to the privacy policy of "YouTube".

Public Relations

If you provide us with personal data, we use it to inform you about the annual German Prevention Congress and, if necessary, to ask you about it, provided you have explicitly given us your consent to use your personal data for advertising purposes. If you have given your consent for such use but do not wish to receive advertising from the German Prevention Congress in the future, you can revoke your consent at any time for the future. Your data will then be deleted accordingly or, if it is still necessary for billing and accounting purposes, blocked.

Registration/application for the upcoming congress

In order to register as a participant for an upcoming German Prevention Congress, we require a minimum of personal data (name, address, e-mail address, work area). We use this data exclusively for the purpose of registration for the respective congress and sending the ticket and an invoice.

As for the registration of participants, we also need personal data for the application for a lecture, a poster or an information stand. These data are also stored exclusively for the use of the allocation for the respective congress. When registering for the stage program, we only store your data temporarily and delete them after the respective congress.

All data used for your participation or application will be used exclusively for the intended purpose. For the postal dispatch of the congress folding plan we commission an external service provider who, like us, is subject to the strict rules of the GDPR. Furthermore, we will not pass on your data in any form.

Press accreditation

We store the data of journalists who accredit themselves for a German Prevention Congress exclusively in order to enable participation in the current congress. We also send press releases and press invitations by e-mail to accredited journalists to inform them about current events. You can object to the receipt of press releases at any time by unsubscribing from the press distribution list.

External links

We use links on our websites to external sites whose contents are not on our server. The external contents of these links were checked when the links were set. However, it cannot be ruled out that the contents may have been subsequently changed by the respective providers. After clicking on the link, we no longer have any influence on the collection, processing and use of any personal data transferred to the third party by clicking on the link (such as the IP address or the URL of the page on which the link is located), since the conduct of third parties is naturally beyond our control. We assume no responsibility for the processing of such personal data by third parties.

Should you notice that the content of external providers violates applicable law, please let us know.

Right to Information, Deletion, Blocking, Objection

You have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of data processing at any time.

Furthermore, you can revoke your consent to the collection, processing and use of your personal data for the future at any time. You can contact us at any time at the following address:

Data which is required for accounting and bookkeeping purposes or which is subject to the legal obligation to retain data are not affected by this.
