The historic New York Declaration for Refugees and Migrants was signed one year ago, uniting all 193 United Nations Member States in the belief that protecting refugees and supporting the countries that shelter them are shared international responsibilities to be borne equitably and reliably. UNHCR’s #WithRefugees campaign aims to demonstrate public solidarity with refugees in the lead up to the General Assembly’s consideration of the global compact on refugees in November 2018. The campaign has mobilized 17,5 million supporters and will continue until a global compact for refugees is adopted in 2018.
