Abstract:
In this interdisciplinary panel discussion, committed representatives from business security organizations (BASF & Axel Springer) and security authorities (LKA BW) address the phenomenon of sexual harassment and discrimination. This discussion promises exciting insights, different perspectives and courageous approaches to tackle this important issue.

In particular, the participants discuss pressing issues surrounding sexual harassment and discrimination, share experiences and challenges, discuss possible solutions and provide new insights.

Sexual harassment and discrimination are not trivial offenses and concern us all. We cordially invite you to follow the discussion, get involved interactively and enter into a dialog with the experts.

Imke Bruns has been Head of Resilience Management at Axel Springer in Berlin since 2019. In this role, she focuses not only on national and international governance issues, but is also passionate about driving diversity ESG in security.

She studied risk and security management at Bachelor and Master level. She then started her career as deputy head of the security department at the largest public transport operator in Germany, Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe.

She is also Co-Head of the Competence Centre for Situation and Travel Security at ASW Bundesverband and a member of the Board of the Association for Security in the Economy Berlin Brandenburg. In 2022, she also successfully completed the General Management Programme at the Frankfurt School of Finance.

Esther Richter has headed the task force against sexual harassment and discrimination at BASF since 2023. In her more than 27 years at BASF, she has held various management positions in communications and controlling. As a graduate in business administration and MBA, she is characterised by a broad economic and strategic understanding paired with a passion for people.
