Jurist, lecturer, and researcher, holding a PhD in Law from Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, with a
specialization in public law and public security, and in human rights from Ius Gentium Conimbrigae (IGC)
at the University of Coimbra. He is the founder and consultant at Charles The Son and also serves as a
research scientist at the Ratio Legis Centre – UAL, at JusGov – Universidade do Minho, and as the founder
and researcher at the Education Beyond Science R&D Centre. He is an Associate Member of EuroDefense
Portugal, the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences (ACJS-DC), and Latina/o/x Criminology in the United
States.
