Data and the City: Practical Steps to Use Data for Urban Violence Prevention

One of the standout cross cutting topics discussed in our regional workshop was on how cities can better leverage data to be more efficient and effective in designing and implementing their violence prevention strategies.

Inspired by some of the discussions there, and the upcoming webinar on IDB’s Safer Cities platform, secretariat member Luisa Portugal wrote a blog post outlining practical solutions for city leaders interested in using data-driven information to support and improve their understanding of violence in their cities.
