Workshop: Safer Space for Safer Cities - #PolicemeetsScience

The aim of the EU funded SafeCI project is to examine and analyse existing concepts, strategies and technical tools to improve the protection of public space against terroristic attacks. In the framework of the project, an exchange of experiences has taken place with police authorities from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. The results of the project will be compiled into a handbook, which will be made available to all European security authorities in 2021.

On December 2nd and 3rd the city of Berlin hosts a hybrid (online and on-site) event around technologies (facial recognition, artificial intelligence, behavioural sciences) serving safety in public spaces.
