2nd International Conference for Carceral Geography

The 2nd International Conference for Carceral Geography is organised by the Carceral Geography Working Group and hosted by the School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Birmingham, UK.

Alongside ten paper sessions, there are keynote contributions from Chris Philo, James Oleson, Andrew Jefferson, Mary Bosworth, Ben Crewe and Ruth Wilson Gilmore, as well as an exhibition of the work of Annie Pfingst, a conference dinner, a networking lunch for Early Career Researchers and Postgraduate Students, and a screening of Brett Story's award-winning documentary film The Prison in Twelve Landscapes.

 

The conference is free to attend but registration is essential. There are optional items of catering that can be added at cost.
