Rethink Urban Security – The CITISENSE Approach to Safer, Inclusive Cities

More news about the topic

CITISENSE is an Innovation Transfer Network led by the Municipality of Piraeus, dedicated to enhancing urban security through innovative approaches. Building on the success of the Urban Innovative Actions BeSecure-FeelSecure project, it focuses on transferring effective tools, implementing pilot actions, and fostering advanced governance models to address safety challenges and improve urban living environments. Throughout the network journey the participating cities shifted the focus of urban security from typical surveillance and law-and-order policies to a new approach that aims at making cities safer and more liveable for all – among other things by offering support and opportunities to the more vulnerable residents through an integrated approach that brings together the social, spatial, governance, and digital dimensions.
