Webinar: Human-Centered, Technology-Empowered Violence Prevention in Cities

Peace in Our Cities will host a virtual panel during Data For Peace Conference! Data for Peace is a three-day conference connecting researchers, peacebuilders, policymakers, data providers, humanitarian actors, and peace technologists to strengthen how data and technology supports violence prevention, anticipatory action, and crisis response.

Our virtual panel will explore how cities are leveraging the most recent advancements in data and tech to improve their violence prevention strategies and action. More than that, we will hear from practitioners and experts that are providing innovative solutions to help cities overcome their violence-related challenges in ways that are inclusive, participatory, and that prioritize the ethical application of new technologies.

The roundtable discussion will be followed by a Q&A session where the audience will have an opportunity to delve deeper into matters related to the intersection of data, technology, urban violence, and city governance.
