CALL FOR PARTICIPATION: CO-SECUR Societal Development Plan (SDP) for inclusive security innovation

The EU-funded project CO-SECUR aims to improve citizens’ security perception and behaviour in public spaces, especially at large events and crowded areas, by actively engaging them to co-create innovative security solutions. CO-SECUR is a call to redefine security, not just as a physical necessity but as a shared perception rooted in citizen engagement and responsible innovation. 

The Societal Development Plan (SDP) is the project’s flagship outcome. It brings together participatory research and co-design into a practical, replicable roadmap for responsible and socially inclusive security innovation. It offers clear, evidence-based guidance for municipalities and policymakers to adopt Social Innovation in Security (SIS) and embed responsible innovation principles in EU security practices.
