Serious and organised crime is defined as individuals planning, coordinating and committing serious offences, whether individually, in groups, and/or as part of transnational networks." data-toggle="tooltip" title="">Serious and organised crime (SOC) continues to cause more harm to more people than any other national security threat. It is responsible for danger in homes and on streets, stunting the economy, and damaging communities.
The purpose of this assessment is to understand these threats, so that they can be better addressed. The National Strategic Assessment of Serious and Organised Crime 2025 builds on last year’s comprehensive baseline and draws out the trends and themes of the last 12 months.
