Deactivating Fear

The event aims to analyze and e xplore the causes and dynamics of a phenomenon that is taking on similar characteristics throughout Europe, with a view to transforming alarm into awareness and local action into coherent and effective prevention policies. An opportunity to explore the topic of violence and the use of knife weapons among urban youth, present intervention and prevention strategies adopted in several European and Italian cities and promote an exchange of knowledge and operational methodologies among experts, policymakers, and front-line workers, also with the aim of distinguishing the true extent of the phenomenon from the media narrative. 

The seminar is open to the public and will take place in Italy, Torino, October 23, 2025.
