This masterclass is the first in a series of three aimed at providing a better understanding of ISO 22341: Security and resilience - Protective security - Guidelines for crime prevention through environmental design. ISO 22341 provides guidelines to organisations for establishing the basic elements, strategies and processes for preventing and reducing crime and the fear of crime at a new or existing built environment. It recommends the establishment of countermeasures and actions to treat crime and security risks in an effective and efficient manner by leveraging environmental design. The class’s objective is to deepen the understanding of the document and its application.
The masterclasses will be presented by some of the co-authors and practitioners from across the world. The first masterclass will be facilitated by Paul van Soomeren, ICA Director.
