Fallwing homicide rates in Rosaria - Argentina’s Fragile Peace

InSight Crime has published a new two-part investigation on violence in Rosario, the epicenter of organized crime in Argentina.

After the introduction of new security policies at the end of 2023 —the city's most violent year— Rosario then recorded its lowest number of homicides in ten years in 2024. This relative peace seems to be holding this year, with fewer homicides than in years past, but security is a complex issue.

In the first article, InSight Crime spoke with residents of Rosario's outlying neighborhoods, which have been the hardest hit by organized crime.
