The Stockholm Prize in Criminology: Prize winners 2022

The Stockholm Prize in Criminology is an international prize in the field of criminology. The prize is awarded for outstanding achievements in criminological research or the application of research results by practitioners for the reduction of crime and the advancement of human rights.

The 2022 Stockholm Prize in Criminology has been awarded to Peggy Giordano and Francis T. Cullen (USA) for their theoretical and policy research showing the effectiveness of offender rehabilitation strategies.

The 2021 Stockholm Prize in Criminology has been awarded to Elijah Anderson (USA) for his observations and analyzes of mechanisms behind violence in socially, economically and ethnically segregated areas that have greatly contributed to our understanding of how different types of social interactions among young people lead to violence.
