Resolutely fighting racism and right-wing extremism

More news about the topic

In the wake of the appalling attacks in Halle and Hanau and the murder of Dr Walter Lübcke, the German Federal Government thus reasserted its determination to fight racism, right-wing extremism, anti-Semitism and all other forms of hostility to specific groups and established a cabinet committee for the fight against racism and right-wing extremism in March 2020.

On 25 November 2020 the Cabinet committee presented an extensive list of measures, which was adopted by the Cabinet on 2 December 2020. In addition to a description of the 14-month-long endeavours of the committee, the final report sets out more details on the specific implementation of the 89 individual measures listed. The final report was presented by the nominated chair of the committee, Federal Minister of the Interior, Building and Community, Horst Seehofer in May 2021.
