Rechte Gewalttäter in Haft - und was dann?

The German public demands with good reason that rigorous action be taken against right extremists who have committed acts of violence, i.e. that they be brought to trial quickly and, if possible, be imprisoned. What, however, happens after they have been sentenced and put in prison. Can the treatment prisons are able to give achieve that right-extremist offenders who are motivated by their political convictions are dissuaded from these convictions and will lead a law-abiding life after having served their sentences? What are the specific difficulties prisons are faced with in dealing with this type of offender? What is the normal practice today and what additional ac-tion has to be taken? The speaker will give relevant information, point out the problems involved and make suggestions, from the Berlin prison authorities? point of view, as to how this type of offender should be dealt with in future.
