1st International Conference for Victim Support Asia

More news about the topic

Victim Support Asia (VSA) is the first organisation dedicated to all victims of crime across the whole of Asia, so this conference provides a unique opportunity to set the agenda for future development of rights and support services for all victims of crime in Asia and identify priorities for moving forward.

The conference will examine the current situation for victims of crime in Asia. In particular, they will:

  • identify what rights and support services are available to victims
  • identify the biggest challenges for victims in the way they are treated and in getting the help they need following crime
  • identify key stakeholders and build collaboration in supporting changes to legislation, policy and practice that will improve response and support to meet victim needs

The conference will take place in Seoul, Korea on March 24-26, 2019.

Conference language is English.

If you are interested in presenting at the VSA conference, please submit the title and description of the workshop (250 words max), along with name, cv and contact detail to Frida.Wheldon@victimsupportasia.org. The deadline for paper submission is the 10th of February 2019.
