Weeks of Action against Anti-Semitism in Germany: #Antisemitism concerns us all

More news about the topic

Anti-Semitism is first and foremost an attack on Jewish life, but it is also always an attack on our democracy. Anti-Semitism does not only manifest itself as physical violence: it also includes the mobbing of Jewish schoolchildren, hate speech on the Internet, conspiracy ideological world declarations, threats on the open street and supposed criticism of Israel. Here it becomes visible and daily perceptible for many that we have to act as a society and better protect Jewish life.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the November pogroms in Nazi Germany in 1938, the education and action weeks against anti-Semitism will start - throughout Germany and stronger than ever. More than 150 events are already planned with 90 cooperation partners for the coming weeks. Patron of this year's Action Weeks is the Federal Government Commissioner for Combating anti-Semitism, Dr. Felix Klein. The action weeks are coordinated by the Amadeu Antonio Foundation and the Anne Frank Center.
