Dr. Oliver Stolpe
Oliver Stolpe, born in 1968 in Munich, holds a PhD in Law and Criminology of the University of Würzburg. In his academic research, carried out in Italy, he mainly focused on studying the economics of Mafia organisations, and the legislative and law enforcement approaches of the Italian authorities in combating this phenomenon. Since 1999 he has been working in various functions for the e United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, including as the Chief of its Justice and Integrity Unit and as the Senior Project Manager of one of UNODCs largest projects in the area of anti-corruption and criminal justice reform. During his career, Mr. Stolpe has designed and supported the implementation of a large number of technical assistance projects aimed to assist United Nations Member States in the prevention of corruption and criminal justice reform. He also helped facilitating a large number of intergovernmental negotiations, including of the United Nations Convention against Corruption.
