Support programmes for perpetrators of domestic abuse bring benefits

More news about the topic

Domestic abuse is a major health and social issue that affects the lives of millions of people, most of them women, across the world. A recent research of the University of Sheffield shows that programmes to help abusers are proving to be effective in helping men recognise and change their abusive behaviour – and are also value for money. The researchers found that for every £1 spent delivering such a programme, the value to society was £1.40.
